May snaps!

Hi Lovelies!

I cannot believe that it's the end of May! I'm getting quite concerned at how quickly life is actually going!

However May has actually been a pretty good month! I've been feeling a lot more 'it is what it is' and just fully making the most out of life.

So I think a photo round up is the best way to share it.

beach

1. Top Row Left: I visited the Caribbean. This beach is unreal! No filter would ever be needed on it!

2. Top Row Middle: This is of the beautiful blue waters in Mustique. Actually paradise!

3. Top Row Right: Basil's Bar in Mustique. A bar with most literally the best view ever!

4. Middle Row Left: Finding some unusual flavoured candles in the Yankee store. A carrot cake candle anyone?

5. Middle Row Middle: Stepping outside my MAC lipstick comfort zone and trying more of their products!

6. Middle Row Right: I've found the most perfect and unreal mascara. My lashes have found their true love with this Tom Ford mascara!!!!

7. Bottom Row Left: Impulse buying the creamy glow duo by Kevyn Aucoin. I can't wait to test it out!

8. Bottom Row Middle: Showing the clock tower in Palm Beach some love. This view will never grow old.

9. Bottom Row Right: I had to have a lot of painful procedures at the dentist so I was given some bright pink peonies to numb the pain. They definitely worked!

What have you been loving/doing this May?

A Lipstick a day!

Happy Thursday Lovelies!

Now even though I seem to collect lipsticks just like they're jelly beans, I often find myself sticking with wearing the same shades out of my collection because it's easy and well I just love a particular shade. However I am deciding that it's fully time to use all my shades, so I'm challenging myself to wearing a different shade every day.

Since doing this I've rediscovered my love of wearing more orange/coral tones once again.

These ones are:

MAC Morange

MAC Coral Bliss, MAC Morange and MAC Flamingo. Whilst Morange may be a bit too vibrant for every day loving, I had completely forgotten about how perfect Flamingo was! It's so beautiful and ideal for a Spring/Summer day.

Yesterday I wore MAC Sunny Seoul and today who knows which one I'll end up reaching for. It's rather like a funky Pick and Mix. So if you're after spicing up a little something in your life. Reach for a different lipstick, because they do say variety is the spice of life.

Have you got any favourite lipstick shades which I could try?

Drugstore Mini Haul

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I hope you're having a great extended weekend. Carrying on from my last post, I thought I'd share a few bits I've picked up from the drugstore recently. There are some super buys at the moment and with sales around the corner, I think we could see some more very soon.

So I hope you enjoy!

I can never fault Wet n Wild Lipsticks. They're great quality and this one only cost $1.97. The best bargain buy possible! This is in the shade Think Pink, and I can't wait to use it!

Wet n Wild

The next buy was this Wet n Wild blush. I've never tried their blushes before so I picked up this gem as it was only $2 something. This is in the shade Pearlescent Pink and looks like the perfect match to accompany the lipstick.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these. Cotton Candy and S'mores flavoured Oreos. Oreo do produce some random flavours, so I snapped up these S'mores ones up for my friend as she's a S'mores lover.

S'mores Oreos
Lastly I bought this Nivea In Shower Body Lotion for dry skin. It's basically used in the shower and is a moisturising lotion. So basically no need to use moisturiser when you get out of the shower. I have a feeling this is going to take off big time. It's so quick and easy to use, effective and if you get impatient like me, you just don't have to wait!

High Street/Drugstore Makeup Look

Hi Lovelies!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend so far. I thought that it was about time for a makeup look. So instead of using some of the beautiful things I've picked up Sephora lately, I've decided to do a high street/drugstore face. All the products used are perfect for this time of year, and such great quality and value! So I hope you like it!

NYX HD Foundation

Foundation: NYX HD Foundation in shade 103

Concealer: Maybelline Coverstick in Medium Beige

Eyeshadow: Sleek Makeup i-Divine au naturel Palette, shades Nougat, Taupe and Moss

(Also used Nougat as a highlighter on my face!)

Inner corner of eye: Ulta eye crayon, Little White Lie

Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational and Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Lengthening Top Coat Mascara

Lips: Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Barcelona Nights

Bronzer and blusher: Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer Palette

Blush: L'oreal le blush in Rose Nude

NYX HD Foundation

As you can see I didn't use too many products, I'm trying to keep it light and fresh for summer and add a little burst of colours with the lips!

If you want me to review any products used let me know. I probably will do an in depth review on the NYX HD Foundation because it's amazing!

Friday Fortune!

Hi Lovelies!

I don't know whether it's because it's that time of year where we're heading towards being half way through the year (which is crazy!) but I can often feel like I've hit a bit of a road block and stop point.

All the aims which you set at the beginning of the year may not have been achieved, or that life's just whizzing past at super speed that you can't keep up with!

I often get those stumps that everything I do is a bit of an ongoing and never ending process and that no matter how hard I try I'm still forever trying to catch the thing at the end of the tunnel!
Fortune Cookie

I hope my rambles make sense because I do feel that life can feel very still until you actually look behind and see how much something so small has actually changed. I know we all have those days where we just feel a bit urghh, but the most important thing is to really remember to never quit. If something you're working towards is really important to you, you'll find a way to really get there. Life takes a lot of hard work and determination, but everything is always worth it.

Before I wrote this post, it was one of those days, so I decided to have a fortune cookie because those messages always make me feel a bit excited.

It read:

'YOUR PERSEVERANCE WILL PAY OFF SOON'

So I'll let you all share my fortune cookie because I think it applies to everyone.

Just remember whatever you're doing will eventually be worth it and you'll get there if you keep on going!

Hope you enjoyed my little Friday thought!

Kat Von D Lovecraft Studded Lipstick

Happy Wednesday Lovelies!

Today I thought I'd share with you a lipstick beauty. This lipstick is the Kat Von D one in shade Lovecraft. Something about this shade stood out to me as I was swatching away in Sephora. It's described as a matte mauve pink nude and is quite an unusual shade because it's a lovely pink that has such a gorgeous purple undertone. Even though it's a matte finish, I found it incredibly creamy. This studded kiss lipstick doesn't stick to any lip cracks at all and is actually very moisturising. The whole lipstick range is infused with Vitamin A, C and E, so what's better than a lipstick that delivers a vitamin hit too!

Overall I love that this shade can be worn everyday as it's so natural. I'll definitely be purchasing more Kat Von D lipsticks, so if you have any recommendations I would love to know?

Have you tried any of these lipsticks before?

Post Holiday Favourites

Good Morning Lovelies and a Happy Monday!

I've recently returned from a lovely holiday in the Caribbean so I'm feeling all refreshed. However, my skin probably not so. I have the strangest tan, I'm quite patchy and a little sunburnt! I never usually get sunburnt so I think the new sunscreen I tried might not have been the best for me.

What I do know is that I want to preserve my little patchy tan for a little while, so I definitely need to infuse some moisture back into my skin.

For that post holiday healthy feel. These are 3 products which I'm loving.

MAC Strobe Cream

1. Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid: I've cracked this beauty out because it's just so perfect. It's lightweight, covers nicely, has a little colour to it and makes you look so healthy and glowy.

2. MAC Strobe Cream: I recommend if you get this product to buy it in the travel size, because it lasts for ages and a little blob goes a long way. It's very moisturising, you can use it under your foundation as a base, or you can dab it and use it as a highlighter. It delivers a beautiful glow and highlight which really lifts your face.

3. Dior Addict Lip Glow: You can't forget your lips. Lips get quite dry and cracked on hot holidays. This gem never fails. Your natural lip colour comes out and your lips are left the softest and most moisturised ever. Perfect for applying your favourite lipstick!

What are your favourite products post holiday?

And here's a little Caribbean snap just to start the week right!

Perfect Glow Makeup Picks!

Lately I've been loving a glowy makeup look. It just feels so light and healthy to wear!

Even on the days where your skin feels dull and lifeless, a glowy look can totally make you feel alive.

I have a lot of makeup which can create a glowy look but at the moment these are my current favourites!

From left to right:

1. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow:

This could well be my favourite thing ever. It's so silky and smooth and creates that perfect contour with a super subtle glow. This is one product which no matter whatever makeup look I go for, will always remain in my top makeup bag.

2. Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow:

This is light and can act as a great makeup primer in itself, if you don't want too much coverage. Otherwise you can wear it underneath a layer of foundation and it will just illuminate your face. It has a gorgeous scent to it and I couldn't be without this now that I've found it.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation:

I went through a stage of wearing this daily last year, and I'm now reliving my light wonder days. I just love when you wear a product and it wows you all over again. It's a great foundation which offers good coverage, but isn't heavy at all. It creates a gorgeous glow too, so it's a basically an amazing foundation which does it all!

4. Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon:

Now while this isn't the most glowy concealer, I find it works great with this type of look. This is because it is so incredibly creamy that it blends in super easily and doesn't cake one tiny bit. It does its job perfectly and works amazingly well with any foundation that you use with it.

Well I hope you enjoyed this post, and I would love to know which makeup you are loving right now for that perfect glow?

Monday Motivation: Live like a Palm Tree

Hi Lovelies!

This is a bit of a different post today, nothing like some Monday motivation to start the week!

Palm Trees

I'm a bit obsessed with palm trees, after all they do remind me of the beach at the very least. However there's something quite amazing about them when you really stand and stare. Whatever life throws at them whether it's wind, rain, thunderstorms and blazing sun, palm trees always seem to be able to cope with it (a hurricane might be pushing it!!!).

They grow at different rates, are different heights and widths and all look individual in their own special way. But the most impressive thing is that they're always standing. So if you're having a tough time or feeling a bit deflated this Monday, try and be like a palm tree and you'll be standing strong for the rest of the day!

Have a happy Monday!

Sephora Summer Picks

Hi Lovelies!

Sorry I haven't posted for a while but there's lots of exciting things to come. One big thing which is on its way is Summer!

I'm definitely a summer and sunshine person. The sun and warm weather always pops a smile on my face. I've had a few splurges in Sephora lately which makes the fact that summer is coming even sweeter.

I'm excited to share with you a few of the purchases I've made recently and can't wait to do some more in depth reviews on them once I've given them a good test.

1. Laura Mercier Face Illuminator powder in Indiscretion

Now if this doesn't scream summer, I don't know what will! This highlighter is so gorgeous for summer. I love that it's a rose gold illuminator. A really gorgeous and unusual highlighter which will look fabulous with a tan too.

2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Artist Palette

I was so excited to snap up this palette. I've been feeling a bit more adventurous with my eyeshadow choices lately, so couldn't wait to test some more unusual shades out. I never thought in a million years that I would wear orange eyeshadow! However surprisingly it works! The shadows themselves are so easy to apply and blend. I can't wait to share some looks from this palette with you all soon.

3. Guerlain Meteorites Baby Glow

The packaging itself screams summer. It's nice to opt for something a little lighter on the skin in summer and this is great. You can use this as a glowing primer underneath or even wear this alone. At the moment, I am using this below my foundation but I'm aiming just to wear this alone. It leaves your skin feeling so soft and smooth, healthy and glowy all at the same time. I'm obsessed with this baby glow and just adore its scent too! This definitely has a big thumbs up.

I hope you've enjoyed a few sneak peaks at my Sephora purchases.

What have you been loving lately?
